Fostering Together provides free, ongoing support to families caring for foster children. Here is a list of some of the many resources available to our foster families. We are also available by phone at 1-866-958-KIDS (5437) any time you need us.
A number of support groups are available for foster family interaction throughout Washington State. Potential foster families can learn from seasoned foster parents, and all participants are able to share experiences, seek support, and access information. Group topics focus on how to care for the unique and diverse needs of foster youth, with an individual focus on foster, adoption, and kinship care. Find a support group near you!

Licensed foster parents may be subject to an investigation if an allegation is made against them. The FIRST program (Foster Intervention and Retention Support Team) provides neutral advice and support to any foster parent in Washington State who is under investigation. Learn about FIRST.
Critical Support and Retention Program
The Foster Parent Critical Support and Retention Program provides hands-on help to caregivers in order to successfully maintain placements of children with high-risk behaviors, including those who are sexually reactive or physically aggressive. Get the support you need.
