Support Groups

Foster, Adoptive, and Relative Care

Support Groups

Foster Parent and Family Care Support Groups are an invaluable resource available to foster parents as they care for the foster, adoptive, or relative care children placed in their home. Support groups are free, meet monthly, and are open to all licensed foster parents, foster/adoptive parents, and those interested in becoming a foster or adoptive parent. Training hours and childcare may be provided, check with the group facilitator for more information.

We have groups that meet throughout Region 3 and Region 4 - covering Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, San Juan and Island counties down through all of King County.  We also have online groups "meeting" on Facebook.

We have two online support groups for current foster, adoptive, and relative caregivers. One is for those who have adopted or are considering adoption.  One is for those who are licensed foster parents, or are considering becoming licensed. These groups are an excellent resource, please check them out!
