Child Care Aware is a local child care resource & referral (CCR&R) program which serves four fundamental roles including Parent Information & Referral, Caregiver Support, Community Building and Education and Data and Research.
Child Care Check allows you to search for information on child care providers you are interested in using. Reported information includes basic licensing information, valid licensing complaints, routine licensing inspections and quality rating.
Child Care Resources: Finding the right, high quality child care to meet your family’s needs can be an overwhelming experience. To assist you in your search, we have a database of over 2,000 child care programs in King County, WA and Resource Specialists available by phone to help you find a provider who accepts DSHS payments for your foster child. Our database includes licensed child care centers, family child care programs, license-exempt preschools and school age programs.
Childhaven is the only nonprofit organization in King County dedicated to the mission of healing young and vulnerable victims of abuse while breaking the cycle that leads to more hurt, more trauma. Childhaven is a recognized leader in therapeutic child care, tending each year to more than 400 abused and neglected children from one month through five years old. We help children learn to develop positive relationships through tested methods of therapeutic care. We also partner with community agencies and health care providers to provide developmental therapy and other services to children who need them.
Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) is a comprehensive preschool program that provides free services and support to eligible children and their families. The goal of ECEAP is to help ensure all Washington children enter kindergarten ready to succeed.
